This is an omnipotent, Blakean character looking down on the world from his position in the asteroid belt. Space is a nice neutral title for what is actually a godlike figure but a title such as God could have been a tad provocative for people inclined to faith, or worse, implied a belief I don't hold.
I made this collage because such metaphysical themes have disappeared from art, yet once they were a mainstay. The idea came from a nineteenth century painting dripping with a marvellous sentimentality; an angel visits corpses washed up upon a shipwreck coast.
