Poster for the Met Party

People who have checked out other sections of this web site may notice a couple of familiar faces in this poster. The woman who commissioned this work was flattered by her likeness to the female in the foreground but she should have noted a problem. I was not aware that this poster was to be plastered on railway bridges and busy roads in Melbourne; because I assumed that it would be seen in more intimate settings the typeface was deliberately kept small and hence was frequently illegible.

The little horse shoes were included at the insistence of the client because the party was held on Melbourne Cup weekend. I would have preferred that they weren't there.
