Welcome In this folio of art works you'll find a range of material like the print (above) completed soon after art school, recent landscape painting (2004-06), collages and a series of screenprints made in the period of 1985-90. I've also included digital art that was originally made for cards as well as commissioned graphic work such as posters and magazine covers. You have a couple ways of navigating this site - either visit the images directly by clicking on the thumbnails on the home page or if you prefer commentary on individual works take the tour of the collages or tour of the landscapes. Each of the genres has a background page that contains information about the reasons for and the circumstances in which the work was created. This web site has now been up over a year (February 2006) and the amount of visitors and the variety of countries visitors come from has pleasantly surprised me. I apologise to English as a second language visitors for the wordiness of some of the text but I can't simplify the writing too much without sacrificing meaning. My apologies also to baffled visitors sent by Google etc. expecting something else; the Paul Gauguin graphic heading this page, for example, has meant that a lot of people have landed here probably hoping to cop an eyeful of the real straw hut (if indeed it ever existed). Parts of this site are updated regularly as photos of new work are uploaded or when I motivate myself to rewrite or add the occasional texts. The site now numbers 100+ pages consisting of 200+ images. The latest addition is a new section on prints made in the period 1978-1982. I hope that you find it interesting and please don't hesitate to contact me about the work or web site (I would definitely want to know about any problems you encounter) or if you have your own web presence you would like to draw my attention to. |
