This print comprised of two 30 x 40 inch sheets layed side by side to form a diptych is the largest screenprint size I have attempted. This sheet size is the biggest that can be practically printed manually by one person. The print, with its large areas of flat colour and minimal overprinting, is also technically one of the simplest I have made.
The title Electric Noir came from my long interest in noir literature and film, in this case John Boorman's classic crime film Point Blank. The other interest which I am still exploring today is the theme of night and artificial light.
